Jim Boke has been a licensed realtor for 8 years. He is a past president of the Northern Black Hills Board of Realtors and has served on various committees of the association.
He is a native South Dakotan, having been born in Rapid City, and growing up on a ranch near Faith. He was a practicing veterinarian for 30 years, 26 of those from 1976 to 1999 in Spearfish. He served 8 years on the South Dakota Veterinary Medicine Examining Board. He has extensive experience in the ranching industry, managing ranch operations which raised commercial and registered cattle on the home ranch at Faith. He served over 10 years on the bank board of directors of the Farmers State Bank of Faith. He is a past president and was an active member of the Spearfish Kiwanis Club for over 25 years.
The process of looking at land and property, and finding its potential for current and future enjoyment has become a passion of his since selling his veterinary practice. One aspect of this is to help people find an existing home, or find the right lot to design that “perfect” home.
His wife, two sons , two daughters, their spouses, his grandchildren, as well as his extended church family and friends are the motivating purpose in his life. His goal is to strengthen and leave a legacy of rewarding relationships between all those with whom he comes into contact.
